Advancing Digitization: CZUR ET18 Pro Scanner at LNAA Museum
Serving as one of pivotal methodical centers of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, the LNAA Museum is commissioned with cataloging and promoting information about academy graduates.

In 2023, under the guidance of Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Taras Lesiv, LNAA employees initiated an ambitious project: the digitization of archival documents to populate on the website of the electronic archive. The project received a significant boost with the acquisition of modern intelligent book scanners, specifically CZUR ET18 Pro, sourced for LNAA. While one scanner became accessible to the Museum, the other was allocated to the LNAA Archive. By effortlessly scanning bent pages, the device promptly generates flawless rectangular images, markedly expediting the digitization process for volumes of archival documents, often eliminating the need for stitching them off. Following scanning, meticulous descriptions are provided for all documents before being uploaded to the database of the e-archive website.
LNAA Museum highlights:
The efforts of the Museum employees have culminated in the compilation of a comprehensive catalog spanning from 1953 to 2022. This extensive collection, which exceeds 10,000 items and undergoes annual updates, encompasses a wealth of diploma theses.
Integral to this cataloging work are the numerous volumes of questionnaires, meticulously filled out by the graduates themselves. Within these volumes are not only valuable data, but also accompanying photographs and detailed descriptions of the diploma theses.
